With simple websites, it would only take a few hours to move and point your website to a new server.  More complex websites that are larger in size, or application based with databases, will require from 1 to 3 days to move as there are more steps involved in the process – migrating, restoring, testing and synchronizing.

How much does a website migration cost?
A single, simple website migration can be as low as $100.00 or even FREE (If you use one of our hosting plans)! Application-based sites work on an hourly rate as there are many variables to consider (shopping carts, cgi-scripts, databases, mail, etc.).

How can I be sure that when my website files are moved that my website will work exactly as it did before?

My e-commerce site is heavily used - Can you migrate it without ANY downtime?
The Computer Geek migration experts take every precaution necessary to ensure that your website does not experience any downtime, or in unavoidable circumstances, the slightest of downtime possible. While your site is being copied in the pre-migration stage, your site will remain fully active with your current host server.  Next, we install and reconfigure all data and files.  Then when all testing and functionality have been verified, your domain name will be repointed and your website will be made live at the new server location.
